Thank you for your gift to the Sibley Foundation in honor of Grace to support Dr. Evan J. Lipson’s Melanoma Research.

At 22 years old, Grace, a new labor and delivery nurse at Sibley was diagnosed with stage IV melanoma. In a fight for her life, she has undergone targeted treatments, immunotherapies, surgeries and radiation therapy. Through it all, she has continued working as a nurse, helping laboring mothers, swaddling newborns, and providing support to coworkers. Now, her teammates at Sibley are honoring and supporting Grace by raising money to fund melanoma research. Dr. Evan J. Lipson – one of Grace’s physicians and a melanoma researcher at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley – is leading several clinical trials and collaborating with colleagues at Hopkins to develop more effective therapies for patients with melanoma and other advanced skin cancers.
